Privacy policy

Cydonia Technologies Inc. ("Cydonia", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through cydoniatech.ca, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Enquiries. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, work email, company and whatever you write in your message.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address.
- Website usage. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't buy or sell personal information.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk with you about a possible project.
- To send the newsletter, if you asked for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To see which pages are useful, so we can improve the site.
Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and our business:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and provides privacy-friendly analytics.
- Formspree receives contact and newsletter form submissions and forwards them to us.
- Google Workspace provides our business email.
These providers may store information in the United States or other countries. When information is stored outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become a project: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client correspondence: for as long as we work together, plus the period required for business and tax records.
- Newsletter addresses: until you unsubscribe.
How we protect it
Access to personal information is limited to the people who need it. Our accounts are protected with multi-factor authentication, and data is encrypted in transit.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@cydoniatech.ca and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
